Location: Crawley, West Sussex

Salary/Rate: £10.42 – £10.5/hour

Our client is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join their team as a Picker and Packer.

As a leading cross-border service provider with expertise in shipping, fulfilment, and ecommerce, the company relies on efficient and accurate order processing to ensure customer satisfaction.

Picker and Packer Responsibilities:

• Order Fulfilment: Efficiently pick and pack orders according to established guidelines and procedures, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail in product selection, quantities, and packaging.
• Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records, including tracking stock levels, reporting discrepancies, and performing regular cycle counts. Communicate any stock shortages or issues to the supervisor promptly.
• Quality Control: Conduct thorough quality checks on products during the picking and packing process to ensure they meet our company’s standards and customer expectations. Report any defective or damaged items to the appropriate personnel.
• Packaging and Labelling: Properly package products using suitable materials to ensure safe and secure transport. Apply correct labels, barcodes, and shipping documentation to packages accurately and in accordance with shipping regulations and customer requirements.
• Organizational Support: Assist in organizing and maintaining the warehouse by keeping work areas clean, organized, and free from safety hazards. Aid in receiving, storing, and organizing incoming inventory accurately and efficiently.
• Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with other team members, including warehouse staff, supervisors, and customer service, to ensure smooth order processing, resolve any issues, and maintain open lines of communication.
• Efficiency and Productivity: Strive to meet productivity targets and performance metrics set by the company, ensuring orders are processed promptly and accurately. Suggest process improvements to enhance efficiency and streamline operations.
• Compliance and Safety: Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations. Maintain a safe working environment by following proper lifting techniques and using equipment and tools appropriately.

Picker and Packer Requirements:

• Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a warehouse or fulfilment environment.
• Familiarity with shipping, fulfilment, and ecommerce processes is advantageous.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in order processing.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory management systems.
• Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks, lift heavy objects, and stand for extended periods.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues.

Picker and Packer schedule:

• Monday to Friday : 9H00 – 17H00
