As an experienced Chef you will be providing high-quality meals for around 70 residents. This role is crucial in ensuring the residents enjoy nutritious and delicious meals every day. Key Responsibilities:- Prepare and cook high-quality meals for approximately 70 residents, catering to various dietary requirements.
- Work alongside another chef and kitchen assistants to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen.
- Ensure all meals are prepared in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Plan and prepare menus in collaboration with the care home management.
- Monitor stock levels and order supplies as needed.
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is used safely and maintained properly.
- Proven experience as a chef, preferably in a care home or similar setting.
- Ability to cook a variety of meals, including those that meet specific dietary needs.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Enhanced DBS on the update service preferred.
- Food Safety or Cooking Diploma required.
